✍🏾Meaning: If you are the life of the party, or the life and soul of the party, you are the liveliest and most entertaining person at a social gathering.

❕For example:

🔺Harry is normally pretty quiet, but after he's had a few beers he becomes the life of the party.

🔺Don't forget to invite your brother. He's always the life and soul of the party.

➕Note: "Life of the party" is more common in American English and "life and soul of the party" is more common in British English, and both are used in Australia.
